Netflix has officially announced the completion of production on one of its most anticipated music documentaries yet—a deep, immersive exploration into the life, mind, and legacy of Jim Morrison, the legendary frontman of The Doors. The film is set to premiere globally on July 20, 2025, and promises to reveal the man behind the myth in a way audiences have never seen before.
“We’re happy to announce that we are done with production and it will be released on 20th July 2025,” Netflix said in a statement earlier today. “This documentary captures the essence of Jim Morrison—not just as a rock icon, but as a poet, philosopher, and cultural disruptor.”
